Your next role
Joining Swindon Borough Council as our Traffic Management & Road Safety Manager is your chance to make a difference and be part of something exciting.
You will lead the work of the Traffic Management and Road Safety Team providing safe and effective management of Swindon’s highway network. You will contribute to the identification, prioritisation and management of Traffic Management and Road Safety improvements in accordance with council policy and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities include accident analysis, scheme design, management and co-ordination of projects, liaison with stakeholders and applying national and local guidance and standards.
- You will have Level 6 Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar relevant subject or equivalent and extensive compensatory experience demonstrating sound technical competence in Traffic Management and Road Safety techniques and scheme delivery
- You will have experience of working with the public and key stakeholders relating to Traffic Management and Road Safety
- You will have experience in the formulation and implementation of traffic schemes, management of scheme implementation and of accident analysis
- You will have experience of using appropriate specialist software
