Job description

Ready for a new challenge implementing physical health excellence across our services?
Contract: 12 months fixed-term

Are you a Nurse, Paramedic or AHP looking for a new challenge? Have you ever considered applying your knowledge and experience in a different health care setting? If the answer is yes then an exciting new challenge awaits you at St Andrew’s Healthcare.

You can achieve more at St Andrew’s Healthcare

We are St Andrew's. We are a mental health Charity and our purpose is to inspire hope for those living with complex mental health needs.

We are looking to a future with less stigma, more community support, more research and education, and we aim to be at the forefront of inspiring real change. We want to ensure we can all live in a society where everyone with complex mental health needs is heard, valued and has hope for their future.

Come and join us, and support us to help people transform their lives.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced clinician who is ready to be supported through an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Masters Degree Programme. The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys working at the top of their clinical competency who recognises the value of education, support and development within the work place. Primary or community care experience would be beneficial but is not essential to the role.

Whilst mental health or learning disabilities experience would be preferable, we would welcome applications from registered healthcare professionals currently not working within mental health services who have transferable skills and an interest in our patient group.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for promoting parity of esteem between physical and mental health through the implementation of high quality healthcare across the charity. We plan to bridge health inequality for our patients by:

  • Preventing unnecessary admissions to local acute hospitals
  • Providing a safe resuscitation service
  • Reducing the risks caused by psychotropic medication
  • Increasing access to national health screening programmes
  • Improving our management of long term conditions

There’s no doubt that this can be a demanding post working in a fast paced environment, however, for the right individual, this will be a hugely rewarding role as part of a family orientated, friendly team.

Reward

We offer an excellent benefits package including pension, 35 days holiday, sickness policy on par with NHS, life cover, car lease scheme, cycle to work scheme, stunning work environment and opportunities for continuing professional development.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Martin O’Dowd on or James Farrelly on  ot

We would love you to apply!
