Trainee Broker - Future Opportunities, London
Are you interested in entry-level opportunities in the world of Broking? We are looking for college / university graduates with a keen interest in global financial markets across different asset classes. About TP / ICAP / PVM:
Tullet Prebon (TP)
A world-leading intermediary in the wholesale financial and energy markets, Tullett Prebon seeks to maximise value for its clients' trading activities across voice, hybrid and pure electronic channels. We offer broking services for a wide range of asset classes, including Equities, Credit, FX, Rates and Insurance Derivatives. Across all asset classes, Tullett Prebon offers e-solutions to give clients the choice to enter prices and execute trades electronically and directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers to help identify and negotiate trades.
ICAP
ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants. We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates. For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades
PVM
PVM is the world's leading broker of oil instruments, including over-the-counter broking of Swaps, Forwards, and Physical Crude Oil and Refined Products, together with exchange broking of WTI, Brent and Gasoil Futures contracts. Our non-oil business covers broking of Physical and Financial Coal, and EU Carbon Allowances and Offsets. We provide broking and high quality, value-added execution services for Swaps, Forwards, Physical Oil, Refined Petroleum Products, Futures Contracts and Renewables.
Role Overview
his is an entry level role into the world of Broking and this opportunity can provide the successful applicant with on-the-job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services
Role Responsibilities:
  • Promote TP ICAP Group.
  • Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
  • Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
  • Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
  • Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems.
  • Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
  • Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.
Experience / Competencies:
Essential
  • Proficient mathematics qualifications, either at GCSE and/ or A-Levels level is required as a minimum.
  • Keen interest in the financial markets and the economy.
  • Hard working and willingness to learn.
  • Build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.

  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.
