Trainee Investment Manager

My client are a prestigious Investment Management firm with a longstanding reputation in the industry. They are looking for a Trainee Investment Manager to join their branch location in Esher, to provide administrative support to the Investment Managers while developing the relevant skills, knowledge and competencies required of a future Investment Manager. The successful post-holder will be able to enrol on their internal Trainee Investment Manager programme, once they meet the required standards. This role provides someone with the opportunity to become an Investment Manager within the firm in a 1 year time frame with direct exposure to clients, working alongside and gaining direct mentorship from highly experienced Investment Managers.
Key Accountabilities

• To provide general administrative support to the team of Investment Managers.
• To support the Investment Managers in their client work.
• To build up technical knowledge related to financial markets, investment products, client administration and reporting, our services and procedures.
• To learn how to use the Firm's internal systems.
• To learn about the business and internal departments.
• Build technical knowledge.

Candidate Profile

• Ideally, hold the IAD via CISI or at least working towards
• At least A-level qualified (or equivalent)
• Will have a demonstrable interest in financial markets
• Will have at least 18 months experience in a similar environment 
• Will have prior experience in relationship management or providing excellent customer service
• An entreprenuerial mindset
