The Role:
In our GRP workshops, we manufacture a large range of GRP structures for the defence and marine industries.
As part of our continued growth and expansion, we have trainee positions available which offer the opportunity to learn all of the processes we use in GRP.
In the Laminating teams we carry out a wide range of laminating processes such as wet-lay, infusion, vac-bagging and RTM and are offering the chance to learn all of these from the start of preparing the moulds to the release of the completed product.
Working in a team environment you will work on a range of products and will be trained on reading and understanding lay-up drawings to enable you to use your laminating skills to carry out the required workload to the lay-up specification. In time you will need to utilise your skills to query any error or change that you may observe on any particular job.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Team and hand-on training with one-to-one mentoring will be provided for the right candidates.
The Person:
A flexible attitude along with the ability to integrate and work with the existing team is essential, as is the ability to work unsupervised once trained. Candidates should possess a fine eye for details, have good hand eye coordination, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, be practical and enjoy practical working and be able to work under tight timescales.

All of these roles are day shifts, working a 40 hour week Monday to Friday between 07.00 – 16.30.

Interview Process:
We will be holding interviews week commencing 22 & 29 April 2024.
A second stage will involve coming in for a 3 – 4 hour session where you will spend time being shown an overview of the work we do, the processes involved and watching our Laminators at work (this time will be paid). There will be opportunity for you to speak with some of our most experienced Laminators and Trainers and ask any questions you may have.
If you are successful we will be looking at a start date of 13 May 2024.
