Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit an Trainee Leakage Technician, for our Thames Water contract in the Thames Valley area.
We are looking for a determined person who is keen to develop a career in Leakage, utilising industry leading technology.
Whether you are looking to start off in the water industry or have many years of experience, what matters to us is you are conscientious and have that drive to succeed.
At Morrison Water Services we put people first. All our technicians will be entered into a structured mentoring program in the first year of employment. This role is skilled and rewarding but you will need to be flexible with regards to our working shift patterns, as this role will also require occasional night work.
As a Trainee Leakage Technician you will be a key part of a team that proactively maintains Thames Water's fixed network fleet of Acoustic Noise Loggers. You will be responsible for the deployment of loggers in new District Metered Areas. You will have the opportunity to trial new technology. Support the Supervisor with stock management and logger returns. Complete all work on the Salesforce Work Mobile platform and associated system databases.
Are you experienced in clean water, and hold an EUSR National Water Hygiene card? (desirable but not essential)
Do you have any technical understanding of clean water networks and assets? (desirable but not essential)
Are you NRSWA Trained - Minimum, Streetworks Unit 1/SLG? (desirable but not essential)
Do you hold a current driving licence? You will need to hold one to be considered for this role.
Are you a self-starter, able to manage a variety of projects unaided?
Can you take ownership of problems to resolution?
Do you have the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team?
Can you manage your time effectively, to meet stringent timescales and targets?
Additional Information
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated using hand tools.
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
- You must be prepared to travel to various sites throughout the Thames Water Area
