A skilled and motivated Trainee Mobile Key Technician is needed to join our team at 3D Autokeys, a family business primarily focused on the auto locksmith sector based in Nottingham on a full-time basis.
We're a locally run family business with over 30 years of experience in the locksmith trade. We offer a low-cost and convenient car locksmith service that can come to you anywhere within a 50-mile radius of our head office in Nottingham.
As Trainee Mobile Key Technician, you will report directly to the Team Manager. Candidates will require a full UK driving licence, and a company vehicle will be provided.

About the Company
3D Autokeys is proud of our fully equipped mobile vehicle locksmith vans. Our fleet of auto locksmiths is highly trained and fully insured, so you can always trust our professionalism and service standards. We aim to respond to enquiries as quickly as possible, and we aim to solve 99.9% of issues on the same day.
About the Role
You will be required to work 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 5.30pm, which may be varied and extended beyond the normal hours according to the business requirements. You will be part of an existing rota in which weekend Saturday work will be required probably one Saturday a month, including paid lunch breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front line technician, responsible for key programming and cutting and vehicle entry services
- On-the-road plus head office service delivery, dependent on business requirements
- Provide excellent service to the satisfaction of all customers
- Become fully conversant with all provided tools, plus our bespoke IT platform
- Undertake self-development and training to enhance skills to ensure achievement of both personal and business goals
- Consistently apply and demonstrate vehicle manufacturer and model knowledge
- Key programming, cutting and vehicle entry across all types, makes, models and age of vehicle
- Comply with all relevant internal processes and procedures, including safety measures, van and tool maintenance, stock usage and job audits
- Ensure optimum levels of productivity are always being met
- Confident customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility within the various roles within the team
- Maximise all commercial opportunities for the business
- Actively promote best practices and innovative solutions to the business
- Ensure the highest quality of work in accordance with company and customer standards
