We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Development and Growth Team.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist the Commercial Manager in providing general Quantity Surveying duties thereby assisting Valleys to Coast to maintain and improve our homes and estates to the highest standards.
The job holder will assist with monitoring and reporting on expenditure in order to control costs and ensure budgets are not exceeded. They will co-operate and work in partnership with their colleagues to ensure the consistent delivery of projects on time and to agreed budgets.
As part of the role you will prepare monthly reports, Cost and Value Reconciliations and work closely with the operations team and provide commercial advice. The role will also include the preparation of enquiries for subcontractors and suppliers inviting them to quote as required and then to analyse these quotes and make recommendations.
