Our business supplies scaffolding solutions into the volume new build housing market and construction industry in South Wales.
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team preferably with experience within the scaffolding sector, however this is not a pre-requisite.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, a keen mind for learning, adapting, problem solving and implementation of new technologies.
Duties:
- In first instance primary responsibility will include preparing and issuing monthly applications / invoices to clients, including site visits for application measure and administration of non-measured invoiceable works.
- Pricing new schemes will follow dependent on experience in the sector. It is anticipated that pricing new work will constitute a significant element of the work carried out by the successful candidate in due course.
- Collaboration with clients and to negotiate contract sums and resolve any financial issues
- Responsibility for all financial aspects of projects entered into by company
- Value to Completion budgetary documentation
- Project Valuation management
- Interface with financial admin team
Experience:
· Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the new build housing market or similar role in the construction industry
· Knowledge of scaffolding industry ideal however not pre-requisite.
· Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent numerical and analytical skills
· Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
