Overview:
Hagleys Group are a seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher to join our team and contribute to the success of our adult education programmes such as ESOL, ISE, and GESE preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional development in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to adult students enrolled in ESOL, ISE, and GESE programmes.
- Implement a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of curriculum materials for ESOL, ISE and GESE programmes.
- Collaborate with senior teachers to enhance the educational experience for the learners.
- Administer assessments to evaluate students' language proficiency.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners to support their language development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Effectively manage classroom dynamics and ensure a respectful and collaborative atmosphere.
- Actively participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Stay updated on language teaching methodologies and industry trends
- Communicate regularly with students and colleagues to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Education, English, TESOL or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Passion for language teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience with teaching adults
Preferred Qualifications:
- TESOL or CELTA certification.
- Previous experience in teaching ESOL or related subjects.
- Familiarity with ISE and GESE examination requirements.
