Salary: £24,909 

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum 
Contract Type: Temporary until 30 September 2025 or the return of the post holder 

Exciting Opportunities to join the Commercial and Business Development Team at the college 

The Team  

The Commercial and Business Team is responsible for the promotion, sales and bookings for Professional & Short Courses, and for Apprenticeships. You will be part of a busy team, supporting sales targets and growth and delivering excellent service to customers, via telephone, online and face to face. 

You will have a passion for helping others develop and learn and you may already have experience of working in education or events and sales. 

The Role 

As a Training and Development Advisor (Sales), you will work as part of the Commercial and Business Development Team to support promotion and secure growth of the College’s Apprenticeship and Commercial income. This will involve selling a wide portfolio of curriculum, products and services for business and individuals in order to achieve demanding income targets.  Representing the whole of the College’s activities in relation to business / organisations you will have contact with employers, members of the public and college staff by telephone, face to face and in writing.  

With a minimum Level 3 qualification in a business and/or sales related subject you will have experience of working in a target driven sales and/or marketing environment. An effective team player you will be highly organised and also able to work on your own initiative and with minimal supervision. 

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The Benefits 

Generous holiday entitlement of 28 days per annum (pro rata for part time) increasing by one day per annum up to 35 days, plus statutory (eight) days and up to six discretionary days per annum.   

All business support staff have the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
