Early Careers Recruitment and Development Advisor (Legal Sector)
Manchester - Hybrid
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000
LHH (previously known as Badenoch & Clark) are partnered with a leading international law firm, assisting with the appointment of an Early Careers Recruitment and Development Advisor - responsible for the Recruitment and Development of the firm's trainee solicitors and also assisting with apprenticeship solicitor Recruitment and support.
The hybrid working preference is 2-3 days per week in the office, with flexibility for the other 2-3 days to be remote/office based.
This is a busy and challenging role and it is likely that your background and experience will include the following:
- previous graduate recruitment experience
- experience of working in a law firm or professional services environment
- knowledge of the solicitor qualification process
The focus of this role will be supporting the firm across the entire Early Careers lifecycle of identifying future talent through recruitment attraction and assessment, onboarding new trainee solicitors, supporting through training contract lifecycle including identifying and matching seat rotations, client secondments, trainee reviews, through to managing the administration of the required professional skills courses and finally admission the roll/SRA.
This will include
- Taking the lead on the logistics and operation of the firm's UK summer vacation schemes, training contract assessment centres, open days, and law fairs and career presentations programme
- Organising and attending various social events with the Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager relating to current trainees, future trainees, and our summer vacation scheme candidates
- Meeting regularly with trainees and answering and/or directing any queries, which require you to have an understanding of employment law, best practice and HR policies
- Managing key information such as seat changes, make-up of intakes, future trainee whereabouts, etc
- Managing the trainees' mid-seat and end-of-seat appraisal process
- Assisting with the firm's recruitment process for qualifying trainees
We seek a candidate with proven Early Careers (Emerging Talent/Graduate) recruitment experience; this doesn't have to be within the legal sector, this could include professional services. Interest and/or knowledge of the sector is advantageous.
