Training Manager
£600 via umbrella (FCSA accredited) / Inside IR35

Our client require a Training Manager to join their Transition Support team to lead the development of a training strategy and approach for cross functional specific needs across Finance Ops, HR Ops and Procurement Ops for the set up of a Shared Capability Centre being set up in India. The Capability Centre is a new Group initiative that will provide efficient and effective support to our global operations.
The chosen individuals primary responsibility is to spearhead the creation of an all-encompassing Training Strategy and Approach to ensure any transition activities are satisfactorily adopted. This role will contribute significantly to the Capability Centre's effectiveness, aligning training initiatives with business objectives and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a training needs analysis and approach for nominated team members within India (in liaison with existing SMEs)
- Design and develop a comprehensive Training Strategy aligned with the Centre's vision and mission
- With your team of trainers, manage the delivery and evaluation of training programmes using various modalities
- Develop a suitable 'train the trainer' approach (where required) to promote ongoing capability within the team
- Establish and maintain a training database, calendar, budget, and resources
- Implement the Training approach and strategy for functional needs in specific operations
- Coordinate with leadership, functional leads, and subject matter experts to align training with business objectives
- Collaborate with Leadership, Transition Support Team, subject matter experts, and external vendors
- Ensure training programmes align with business expectations and adapt based on feedback
- Foster a continuous learning culture and framework
- Identify and promote best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement
Key Skills and Experience
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, human resources, business administration or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in designing, developing and managing training programs, preferably in a shared services, operations or consulting environment
- Proven knowledge and skills in adult learning principles, instructional design, learning technologies, evaluation methods and training project management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence global cross functional teams, stakeholders and vendors, and to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and planning skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism, integrity, creativity and innovation, and a passion for learning and development
- Willingness to travel as required and to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment
- Manage and develop team members so that they perform and contribute in a positive way to the success of the team
- Influencing cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, and effectively communicating at all levels.
