The role
As a Training Needs Analysis Manager, your role will be to manage the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) function. Also, you'll ensure opportunities, whether internal or external, are accurately costed, planned, and approved. Ensure the team undertakes activity in line with agreed priorities and processes (using a Systems Approach to Training (SAT)), and outputs meet the agreed standards / deliverables.
You will also support and work with Functional Leads and Line of Business teams to develop future TNA based opportunities aligned to the Training growth strategy. Where necessary your role will be to undertake TNA activity.
Day to day, you'll:
- Manage the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) team and where required undertake TNA activity.
- Ensure the TNA team use best practice and deliver a range of TNA related outputs required for the programmes / contracts.
- Provide oversight to ensure TNA activities are delivered against the correct time, cost and performance criteria, ensuring outputs meet the required quality standard (including provision of Scoping Exercise Reports, Role Analysis (RA), Training Gap Analysis (TGA), Training Options Analysis (TOA) and Training Needs Reports). * Contribute to the delivery of optimum service levels against the customer's Statement of Work whilst managing customer expectations.
- Be the escalation point for customer or team concerns, issues, or complaints.
- Provide TNA subject matter expertise to the customer and wider Training Business Unit.
This role is full-time, permanent and can be based at either our Portsmouth, Andover or Lyneham sites with hybrid working options. There is a requirement to travel to other sites within the UK, and occasionally overseas, as part of the role.
Essential experience of the Training Needs Analysis Manager:
- Extensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) experience
- Extensive Systems Approach to Training (SAT) experience
- Understanding of the Defence training environment
- Understanding of JSP822 - The Defence Systems Approach to Training
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
