Responsibilities of the Transactional Finance Manager role

• Review current processes and drive continuous improvement. Work with teams across the business to implement new processes or systems
• Take ownership of all aspects of operational and Transactional Finance
• Managing, motivating and developing the Transactional Finance Team, encouraging a high performing, collaborative culture.
• Ensure invoices, expenses and payments are raised or processed accurately, paid on time and matched to banks and ledgers.
• Be the go-to person for Transactional Finance queries within the business and with suppliers/customers, ensuring accurate details and reconciliations take place. Ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
• Oversee the smooth running of the payment run, and reconciliation ledgers
• Oversee the aged debtor book ensuring that accounts are kept up to date. Drive timely cash collection and escalate issues where required
• Manage and adhere to the month-end deadlines, ensuring all tasks across Transactional Finance are completed on-time and any issues are flagged and escalated to the FC and CFO;
• Develop and report on KPIs
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and support the FC with budgets/forecasts
• Support the FC with month end analysis/commentary
• Create and maintain up-to-date process documents for all key tasks and processes
• Assist with ad hoc reporting queries from stakeholders
• Other ad hoc tasks/projects as required

Transactional Finance Manager Person profile

• Previous experience as a Transactional Finance Manager, experienced and confident in taking ownership for a function
• Motivated induvial, keen to build a 'best in class' Transactional Finance function
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable with manipulating data
• Experience in working in a fast-paced environment (preferably in an e-Commerce or Retail environment)
• Strong people management skills
• Confident in communicating and problem solving across all levels of the business
• Agile, solution driven approach and adaptable to a changing working environment
• Demonstrable experience of process and system improvements with a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent attention to detail and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Be able to work in a high volume, entrepreneurial environment, maintaining speed and accuracy
• A proactive and collaborative working style
• Netsuite experience advantageous but not essential
