Due to internal growth, NHS Shared Business Services are seeking highly motivated individual who are flexible and can significantly give to the positive reputation of our business. We are looking for a Transactional Procurement Partner to join our team within Integrated Procurement Services who provide front line service delivery of procurement related activities within Purchase to Pay, specifically implementing the process from customer requirement to Purchase Order placement and all related activities to help an accurate invoice payment process.

You will report directly to the Transactional Procurement Service Manager, operating within a key function to maintain and mange our Oracle system, to successful build Purchase Orders. Whilst also collaborating closely with a wide range of internal and external customers -thus supporting the smooth management of the process.

What you will be doing:

  • Review procurement requirements and non-compliant requisitions, in line with the compliance and standard financial instructions per trust and liaise with clients to make sure they are compliant.
  • To review documentation including contracts, quotes, and catalogue items for processing requisitions.
  • Work with the Transactional Procurement team to action and resolve and queries for Internal and external customers.
  • Provide expert advice and mentorship to external collaborators on effective submission of requisitions.
  • Support external customers on locating orders not received. To help and guide any queries in the P2P process.
  • Arrange new supplier sets, collaborating with clients and suppliers, to make sure bank details and required documents are received and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Actively handles and reports on their own workload to make sure delivery of customer requirements.

What you will bring:

  • Analytically minded with the desire to deliver the right outcome first time.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Be well-mannered, professional, and adaptable at all times as well as flexible to the changing needs of the customer.
  • A confirmed ability to deliver quickly and accurately to customers across a high volume of requests.
  • A high level of organisational skills, effective time-management and a proactive approach to delivery.
  • A proven track record in IT systems with MS Office skills.

It would be great if you had:

  • Working experience of Oracle.
  • A proven understanding of the purchase to pay process.
  • A confirmed ability in IT systems with MS Office skills. 
  • Procurement experience desirable not crucial.
