Valu-Trac was established in 1985. It provides accounting and administrative services to the UK fund industry for over 150 funds and has assets under administration of over £14 billion as at February 2024.
As part of its role as ACD, Valu-Trac provide accounting and administrative services for funds supported by the Fund Operations team.
The Fund Operations team are responsible for the pricing of funds and supporting shareholders through Transfer Agency activities.
The role
The Transfer Agency Administratorwill report to the Head of Transfer Agency / Transfer Agency Manager as part of a team. The Transfer Agency Administrator will be responsible for undertaking Transfer Agency tasks and support within Fund Operations.
Their main responsibilities for the role include:
· Assist, design and shape the development of the strategic Transfer Agency fund model and system implementation and developments
· Ensure completion of key Transfer Agency processing including:
o Shareholder registration
o Shareholder dealing
o Daily subscription / redemption processing and transfers and switches
o ISA / JISA applications,
o Daily fund net flow calculation (swing pricing, Box management
o Contract note issuance
o Commissions / advisor fees
· Ensure shareholders are supported from all communication types
· Ensuring a good end to end experience for all customers
· Maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Management Information (MI) for Transfer Agency including consumer duty and ensuring good customer outcomes for the Transfer Agency function
· Dealing with shareholder queries (phone / email / post)
· Providing vulnerable customer support / screening
· Ensuring effective shareholder documentation management and record keeping
· Complete AML / KYC screening / validation in partnership with the AML team
· Reviewing KYC / AML, client documentation, gone away clients and ensure shareholder register is kept up to date
· Production of shareholder reporting (statements / transactions / holdings / Distributions etc)
· Distribution processing (vouchers/payment approval/depositary management) & completion of unclaimed distribution reconciliation
· Support of projects and strategic enhancements for Transfer Agency
· Support corporate activity: shareholder record on/offboarding
