What is the role?
At Selfridges, our Vision is to Reinvent Retail and we have an ambitious strategy to enable us to do this. The role of the transformation function is to ensure that our strategy is translated into a clear roadmap of cross-functional, organisation-wide initiatives which enable us to achieve it and, where appropriate, to challenge the thinking behind it.
The Transformation team will also be responsible for providing visibility of all strategic initiatives in a simple way. This will enable better and more holistic decision-making, ensuring we’re channelling our resources and investment appropriately and moving at the right pace.
We're Recruiting 2 Transformation Leads to join on a 12 Month FTC.
The Transformation Leads, reporting into the Director of Transformation and Change, will:
Support leaders in translating strategy into a clear, multi-year roadmap of activity to deliver strategic outcomes
Constructively challenge thinking on strategic outcomes of initiatives where appropriate
Deliver programmes of change end-to-end – including project management, operating model definition and process improvements
Lead workshops and forums with senior leaders – including the Executive team – across the organisation to build a holistic view of transformation initiatives which exist today
Drive the creation and maintenance of a single way of viewing complex transformation initiatives – and their link to our strategy – on a strategic dashboard
Working collaboratively with delivery teams, define and implement a consistent process for prioritising and mobilising a new initiative and pipeline management
Define and build best practice approach to delivering programmes of transformation work to create efficiency and support better delivery outcome
The Ideal Candidate
Collaborative and influential, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels
Knowledgeable, with an in-depth understanding of transformation projects/programmes and process improvement
Customer-focused, putting your customers at the heart of everything you do
Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can break down complex problems and provide innovative solutions
A natural leader, coaching team members to drive performance & enable change as well as supporting development
Experienced. You will have held transformation roles previously and have demonstrable experiences which can be applied in this role
