Transport Administrator

Your new company
Hays are working with a large logistics company in Telford who are looking for a Transport Administrator on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Transport Manager, they are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual. You will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day-to-day challenges and provide high-quality service to our customers.
Your new role
As a Transport Administrator your role will be:

• Planning and scheduling of deliveries
• Ensure accurate on-time delivery of company products to customers
• Liaise with a sales team to manage customer delivery requirements
• Dispatch and route all deliveries
• People management for internal fleet drivers and transport subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with all required internal and external transport policies, legislation, and procedures for the company fleet
• Manage quality processes and procedures
• Liaise with customers to manage queries and issues

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Educated to high diploma standards
• Be able to demonstrate extensive transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment
• Have excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills
• Be able to make decisions under pressure, and on a tight timescale
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to generate solutions and new ideas for issues or opportunities to benefit both the customer and the company
• Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a small, friendly team, and under your own initiative.
• Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
