Hays are working with a large logistics company in Telford who are looking for a Transport Administrator on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Transport Manager, they are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual. You will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day-to-day challenges and provide high-quality service to our customers.
Your new role
As a Transport Administrator your role will be:

Planning and scheduling of deliveries

Ensure accurate on-time delivery of company products to customers

Liaise with a sales team to manage customer delivery requirements

Dispatch and route all deliveries

People management for internal fleet drivers and transport subcontractors

Ensure compliance with all required internal and external transport policies, legislation, and procedures for the company fleet

Manage quality processes and procedures

Liaise with customers to manage queries and issues

What you'll need to succeed

Educated to high diploma standards

Be able to demonstrate extensive transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment

Have excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills

Be able to make decisions under pressure, and on a tight timescale

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Able to generate solutions and new ideas for issues or opportunities to benefit both the customer and the company

Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a small, friendly team, and under your own initiative.

Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
