Igloo is recruiting for a Transport Clerk for one of our clients based in Luton, Bedfordshire.
Our client has a lengthy background working within the automotive industry providing a wide range of transport and logistics solutions.
We are looking to someone who is experienced within the transport sector who would be interested in joining an ever-growing team.
The Role:
As a Transport Clerk, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the night operations, ensuring the smooth running of transport activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and interacting with HGV drivers during pre and post-runs
- Thoroughly checking and processing paperwork using customer booking tools
- Collaborating with unloading stores and drivers to optimise offloading efficiency
- General data entry and administrative duties
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an individual who possesses the following qualities and qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of logistics and transport operations
- Familiarity with driving hours and WTD
- Understanding of compliance within the industry
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, customers, and repair companies
- Flexibility with working hours to accommodate holiday coverage
