Transport Coordinator

We are actively seeking an experienced Transport CoOrdinator to work on a full time and permanent basis out of a General Haulage company based in Northampton.
The job:
Title: Transport CoOrdinator
Location: Northampton
Salary: c.£22k-£30k depending on experience based on a 45hr working week
Rota: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30

The candidate:
• Must be a seasoned Transport Planner or Transport CoOrdinator with a solid employment history (mandatory)
• Will be an excellent communicator both written and verbal, be extremely organised, have brilliant customer service skills and have the ability to work under pressure (mandatory)
• Should have the ability to utilise all Microsoft packages and be an intermediate user of MS Excel (mandatory)
• Shall have prior working knowledge of haulage systems and processes to ensure effective planning (desirable)
• Can demonstrate efficient use of all planning software (desirable)
• Ought to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle due to office location (desirable)
• Must be a ‘people-person’ who can brief and/or debrief drivers to ensure they understand their allocated run (mandatory)
• Shall enjoy working as part of a team and keep a high standard of cleanliness within the operation (desirable)
• Could be a natural solutionist who revels in working in a fast-paced and challenging environment (desirable)
• May be multi-lingual and can converse in more than one European language (desirable)
