Ignition Driver Recruitment is looking for a Transport Coordinator in Northampton to work for our client, who are one of the UK's best-known Supermarket Chains. 

To be considered for this role, you must have 12 months previous experience in a similar type of position.
We are looking for someone who: 

1. Is highly organized 
2. Has impeccable timekeeping
3. Has the ability to think on their feet 
4. Can work either alone, or in a team environment

Working hours for Transport Coordinators: 
This position requires someone who can work on a rotating shift pattern, as follows: 
Week 1
4 on 4 off - 06:00 - 18:00
Week 2
4 on 4 off - 18:00 - 06:00

What will you be doing as a Transport Coordinator? 
This is an exciting and varied role, and some of the tasks required will include, but are not limited to: 

• Assisting the Transport Operations Team with: 
  • Managing shift plans
  • Planning routes & ensuring WTR are considered for each driver
  • Monitoring routes - ensuring delays are minimised
  • Collating data and preparing reports
  • Record and maintain inbound and outbound pallet quantities
• Briefing and de-briefing drivers
• Speaking to drivers to understand delays, manage issues and escalate where appropriate 
• Collating, updating and maintaining data on the company transport management system
• Meeting required KPI's 
• Providing the best possible service to both internal and external customers
• Maintain & encourage a positive culture when it comes to Health & Safety and compliance

What do we need from you to be a Transport Coordinator?

• Excellent telephone & customer service skills 
• Ability to multitask and work as part of a team as well as being organised 
• Good computer knowledge is essential
• Superb attention to detail
