Transport Coordinator
Do you have planning and coordinating experience?
If you have an ability to think outside the box and prioritise your workload then we would love to tell you more about this incredible 12 month fixed term contract. Ideally you will have experience of working within the Transport and Logistics industry, although relevant experience of planning and coordinating will be essential.
This company based in Halstead can offer you a salary of £23,000 - £25,000 depending on your experience. The hours are Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 5pm and 8.30am - 2.30pm on a Friday. Cover is required until 4pm on a rota basis and hours would be redeemed in lieu the following Monday. Part time hours could be considered at 28.5 hours, with pro rata pay. Hours could be discussed upon application if you have the relevant experience.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Planning and coordinating the delivery of goods between locations
* Maintaining records of transactions and activity
* Communicating with drivers, carriers and customers to ensure a smooth and timely delivery
* Arranging couriers when required
* Answering incoming calls regarding lead times or product information
* Dealing with various modes of transport
* Handling general enquires and redirecting relevant calls to other departments.
