What we need from you as a Transport Manager:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Transport Manager as CPC Holder
- Must have International Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Hold a B category Driving Licence to commute to the depot
- Must be computer literate
- Be focused, analytical and have an excellent eye for detail
- Can work well under pressure
- Customer service orientated with a positive can do attitude
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling the driver and vehicle duties using Distinctive Systems Software
- Professionally communicate with all employees via calls, emails, and written work
- Liaise effectively with the engineering and sales department for duty planning
- Produce daily work tickets to deadlines that comply with legal requirements within the industry standards as well as providing drivers their work in a timely manner
- Manage all driver holiday requests
- Book in feeders for EU tours, hotels, and complete fully the tour envelopes
- Assist in the recruitment of full and part time driving staff with the HR Manager, interviewing and onboarding processes
- Manage driver license checks, driver CPC renewals and DBS applications
- Liaise with the local authority with road closure notifications and diversions on routes, effectively distributing these to the driving team
- Complete any route amendments and revisions with both the WCC and Traffic Commissioner
- Maintain a professional conduct when dealing with customers, ensuring highest level of communication when reporting breakdowns or incidents
Salary/hours: £33,000 annual salary. Working Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm, which also includes taking part in the on-call rota (paid in addition to annual salary) which covers week nights and weekends for any emergency calls. A company mobile is provided for this.
