Transport Manager

What we need from you as a Transport Manager:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Transport Manager as CPC Holder
• Must have International Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Hold a B category Driving Licence to commute to the depot
• Must be computer literate
• Be focused, analytical and have an excellent eye for detail
• Can work well under pressure
• Customer service orientated with a positive can do attitude

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Scheduling the driver and vehicle duties using Distinctive Systems Software
• Professionally communicate with all employees via calls, emails, and written work
• Liaise effectively with the engineering and sales department for duty planning
• Produce daily work tickets to deadlines that comply with legal requirements within the industry standards as well as providing drivers their work in a timely manner
• Manage all driver holiday requests
• Book in feeders for EU tours, hotels, and complete fully the tour envelopes
• Assist in the recruitment of full and part time driving staff with the HR Manager, interviewing and onboarding processes
• Manage driver license checks, driver CPC renewals and DBS applications
• Liaise with the local authority with road closure notifications and diversions on routes, effectively distributing these to the driving team
• Complete any route amendments and revisions with both the WCC and Traffic Commissioner
• Maintain a professional conduct when dealing with customers, ensuring highest level of communication when reporting breakdowns or incidents

Salary/hours: £33,000 annual salary. Working Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm, which also includes taking part in the on-call rota (paid in addition to annual salary) which covers week nights and weekends for any emergency calls. A company mobile is provided for this.
