Salary £29,500pa On Track Earnings (OTE) £35K+ including Overtime, Quarterly Bonus & Pension scheme

Hours - 40.5h contracted plus Overtime - Overtime - paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Holidays - 25 days a year plus statutory bank holidays - we shut down over Christmas so you will need to use some of your holidays to cover this (normally between 3-5 days)

We deal in the storage and distribution of a large range of Stainless Steel and Aluminium products. Our head office is based in Glasgow and the business trades from 7 principal locations employing around 350 staff with a group yearly turnover in excess of £200m.

Role Responsibilities but not limited to;-

• Managing a team of 12 Class 2 Drivers - managing planned/unplanned absence, providing continual support and training
• Plan and manage all inspections, MOTs, planned & unplanned maintenance and breakdowns of the fleet
• Compiling delivery runs for the following day Mon - Fri
• CPC/Tachos - keep up to date with your drivers’ CPC training and infringements/WTV
• Role will require you to deliver, usually on shorter local runs
• Planning your drivers’ weeks including holidays and liaise with agencies to cover absence if needed
• Interviewing and hiring new drivers
• Liaise with insurance companies for any accidents that have occurred

Essential Skills:-

• Valid Transport Manager CPC
• Valid Class 2 license with up to date CPC training
• Exceptional time keeping
• A willingness to learn
• Possess an excellent attitude
• Brilliant attendance record
