One of the UK's largest steel processing manufacturers are now looking for an experienced Transport Manager to become an integral part of their operation. Located in Dudley, you'll be reporting directly into the General Manager, contributing to the success of a company with a strong commitment to growth and innovation.
The role
A Transport Manager is now required to lead the planning and day-to-day management of all subcontracted operations as the company exclusively rely on external subcontractors having no in house fleet.
You will take responsibility for:
Managing external subcontractorsCoordinating ProductionNominated 'O' License HolderMaximising Load capacity and using the company's network to maximise routes - Backloads etcWhat you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
Transport Manager CPC qualificationExperience dealing with Subcontractors.Understanding of back loads.Good Commercial Awareness.Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Experience within 3PL is advantageousOperator's LicenceWhat is on offer

You will benefit from a salary of £45k to £50k and working: 06:00 - 16:00 - Monday-Friday. Other benefits include pension contribution, generous holiday allowance, etc.
