Our established client based in the Kidderminster with years’ of experience in distribution throughout the UK is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join their busy office and work alongside their Transport Manager.
Transport Administrator / Support Key Responsibilities:
- Create effective daily transport plan, in the most cost effective and efficient way possible.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective strategies and fool-proof plans.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Communicate with production and works personnel to ensure that material to be processed is scheduled to meet the Loading requirements.
- General transport admin duties i.e., running delivery notes / preparing load sheets / picking tickets / scanning PODs into the system etc.
- Maintain delivery promises made by the transport department and communicate with sales when a delivery cannot be met.
Transport Administrator / Support Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
- Previous experience in planning or a related field is preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, suppliers, drivers and other departments across the business.
- A good level of attention to detail, this role will include checking correct batches have been labelled accordingly.
- Able to work well with others and use their own initiative to solve problems.
