Transport Shift Coordinator required for a long term, permanent assignment within a nationwide supplier of industrial, medical and special gases based in Bristol, BS4
- £17.81 per hour
- Monday – Friday
- Shift pattern rotates weekly 08:00 – 17:00 / 10:00 – 19:00
- 18-month FTC
About the role
- Administration and management of daily operations of the drivers and fleet
- Attend daily morning branch Ops Meeting
- Manage driver’s hours and ensure legal compliance
- Complete thorough driver trip Debriefs
- Maintain and review driving licence records, including carrying out driving licence, ADR certificate, CPC card checks
- Update and manage various in house systems
- Receive and respond to out of hours phone calls, including emergency delivery requests, etc
- Cover for the transport manager when necessary
- Review, maintain and update training logs
The right candidate
- Prior experience in a similar role such as transport administrator, logistics coordinator etc
- Computer literate (using Microsoft Office)
- Competent in data manipulation, analysis and collation skill.
- Excellent communication skills with neat and clear hand writing
