As a Transport supervisor, you will help manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day work allocation of our fleet drivers and vehicles in order to ensure that external and internal customer expectations are met.
This role will suit someone who is looking to take their first step in a Transport Supervisor role, training and support will be provided.
You will learn to take ownership of the day to day running of the distribution, completing pre & de briefs, reviewing activity and amending routes around changes/issues, ensuring that all drivers are complying with Roads Transport Compliance and Health & Safety.
Our vehicles use TVG to ensure that our drivers are driving in safe, compliant and a proper manner and you will be trained to monitor and manage anyone that is not adhering to the policy, downloading and reviewing Tachograph logs and picking up infringements & escalating where necessary.
Transport Supervisor - Experience & Attributes:
- Ideally have 1 + Years experience within a Transport Role, e.g. supervisor, team lead, lead driver, transport administrator
- Ideally have experience of using vehicle planning routing software
- The successful candidate will be proactive, approachable, have an eye for detail and strong planning and organising skills
- Excellent people and communication skills
