About the role

We work on behalf of a major Frozen food retailer with close links to other DFDS sites and contracts based through the UK. Be part of a high performing team who deliver great service to our customers in the most cost-effective solution possible. The role itself will be varied but there will be a focus on managing the daily performance within the site and ensuring excellent service to our customers.

You will be responsible for:

  • Support other team members in problem solving, carrying out root cause analysis and driving improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with driver agencies ensuring we have a network of drivers that can service our customers’ needs.
  • Review and produce KPIs and other data looking for improvements in service and/or costs and supporting targets to be met.
  • Ensure invoices, reports and statistical information are completed on time in full.
  • Pre-brief and de-brief drivers to ensure they understand their requirements for the day and that we act on any issues they find whilst on the job.
  • Develop an understanding of DFDS IT systems such as Velocity and Mandate.
  • Ensure audit performance set against regulatory, legislative and business requirements are completed.
  • Communicate directly with our customers, listening to their needs and giving them great customer service.
  • Work closely with the Transport Manager and be reactive to the needs of the business, flexing what the priorities are on any given day

About you

We are seeking an individual with a solid background in transport knowledge and experience, preferably at a similar level, which would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should be energetic, demonstrating a positive attitude towards tackling daily challenges.
