Location - Wigan WN5 0LR

40 hours per week, core working shift Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30 may need to occasional work at the weekend

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a logistics organisation specialising in transport management services

Salary £29k-£31k

Position

Supervise on-site operations for external carriers,

coordinating with warehouse teams as necessary.

Effectively communicate all job-related details to drivers and ensure on-site teams adhere to daily processes.

Provide support to on-site teams to ensure full compliance from drivers.

Monitor driver status to address delays and maintain communication with customer services.

Establish and enforce handover processes to ensure smooth transitions.

Build a positive relationship between the transport team, warehouse, and customers.

Address customer inquiries in a professional, timely, and competent manner.

Manage the overall health and safety processes for external carriers visiting the site.

Maintain open communication channels with the warehouse department and customers.

Oversee tracking of yard trailer movements and communication between warehouse and external carriers.

Undertake additional tasks as requested to support the Management team.

Principal responsibilities

Support Transport team in daily activities managing haulier booking slots and updating system with arrival times

Support KH Transport

Manage yard trailer movements and ensure accurate data kept

Groupage labelling

Manage haulier compliance at Gatehouse for arrivals.

Support Drivers on-site with INCAB compliance

Manage hauliers to ensure POD compliance

Failed loads re-book with customer sites

Attend daily calls report any issues

Attend daily Load Release Schedule ( LRS ) call to ensure Warehouse and Transport alignment

Manage haulier compliance
