Travel Consultant

Gecko Travel Recruitment are delighted to be working with a travel company who are looking for a long-haul tailor-made Travel Consultant to join their expanding team. As a Travel Consultant you will be selling tailormade holidays to long haul destinations.

The ideal candidate will have a customer centric approach and have at least 2 years experience selling tailormade long haul holidays.

If you are an experienced Travel Consultant in long haul, tailor-made holidays then this could be the perfect role for you.

The role:

• Use your knowledge to build bespoke long-haul packages that exceed the customers expectations
• You will engage with customers responding to enquiries either by email or by telephone, building and maintaining the relationship with those customers
• You will work towards your sales targets using your communication skills to encourage repeat business

You will have:

• Proven experience in long haul travel sales, preferably in creating bespoke tailormade itineraries
• Proficient in travel technology, have exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
• Be self-motivated and goal orientated with a calm and professional manner when talking to customers

Additional Information/benefits:

• This role can either be remote, hybrid or office based. If you choose to work remotely you must have the set up available to be able to work from home including dedicated home office space and reliable internet connection
• Competitive salary basic c.£24,000 plus uncapped commission with a realistic OTE of +£40,000
• Work 5 days a week with one guaranteed full weekend off a month
• 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing 1 day a per year until 25 days)
• 6 wellbeing days a year after successful probation period
