This new full-time post is available immediately on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements. The starting salary will be from £32,332, depending on qualifications and experience. This role may attract a market supplement. Summary of the role This role will provide financial support to the central finance team within the University, providing senior budget holders with the expert financial guidance and support necessary for making informed strategic decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of treasury operations at the University. The role will include some aspects of financial accounting. The successful candidate will provide reports to senior management and board to demonstrate compliance with treasury management, as well as statutory accounts preparation. The principal responsibilities of this role include: Cash and liquidity management Cashflow forecasting Management of foreign exchange risk Management of interest rate risk Counterparty risk management Financing and debt compliance Managing strategic banking partner relationships The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant / treasurer with proven experience in managing effective relationships in a business partnering role, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and be comfortable with working in a changing environment and managing change.
