Tree Surgeon / Arborist

Due to rapid business growth, Batson Groundcare Ltd based in Tow Law, County Durham are looking for an experienced, competent and qualified climber to join their team as a Climbing Arborist.

THE POSITION:

• Pay: Competitive & Negotiable
• Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday – Friday
• Overtime: Paid for anything over 40 hours per week.

THE PERSON

• Proactive member of staff with a passion for arboriculture and leading a team.
• Strong team working ethic essential The candidate will need to be flexible and reliable with a thorough knowledge of all aspect of tree work, ground, and aerial. - Have experience managing a team or confident they have the qualities and attributes to manage a team.
• Candidate must be comfortable and experienced undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling & felling along with guiding other team members in their operations.
• Nature of work requires the candidate to hold relevant industry qualifications such as NPTC certificates: 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38) , 308(CS39). - NVQ in Arboriculture or equivalent is preferable but not mandatory.
• Possession of a valid CSCS card would be an advantage.
• A full UK Driving licence is essential, preferably with B + E Trailer experience.
• Candidate must have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate competent climbing skills and will be required to undertake a paid trail day before being awarded the position to ensure: 1. You are suitable for the position 2. You are great fit for the team 3. This is the right position for you
