Doncaster Council are looking for a Locality Triage Manager to work in the Partnership & Families Team to manage and lead the locality triage team, delivering an all-age people centred approach through the locality model and Think Families programme. The primary focus is to achieve improved and sustainable outcomes for children, young people, vulnerable adults and families through swift access to information, advice and guidance or early intervention and prevention support.  

The successful candidate must have experience of managing core triage functions, negotiating case allocation, making key decisions to manage risk and coordinate interventions to ensure all clients are safeguarded, through the application of child and adult thresholds, supporting family’s criteria and contextual safeguarding practice. 

Triage managers are regularly required to draft reports and presentation, monitor performance and quality assure service delivery, taking appropriate action to manage and mitigate risk, identify key themes, trends and best practice to share learning. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication are essential.  

The experience of leading, managing and developing multi-agency teams supporting early intervention and prevention delivery with the ability to be flexible in approach to dealing with difficult situations, working with sensitive and confidential information and working well under pressure is essential.
