Trust Governance Assistant
Location: Based in Otley, travel to 4 Trust schools will be required
Salary: NJC Grade C3 Point 22 - Actual Salary £8,574.07, Plus Holiday Pay of £1,014.62 Per Annum
Contract: Permanent- Term Time Only
Hours: 1.5 Days Per Week (12 Hours)

The Collaborative Learning Trust are seeking to appoint a keen, organised, skilled individual with administrative experience to provide professional clerking services across the Trust and to assist the Governance Compliance Lead with the Trust’s governance administration. The role is varied, very interesting and rewarding and would be well suited to someone looking for flexible work.
The Trust Governance Assistant will contribute towards the efficient functioning of the Local Governing Committee by providing:
- Administrative and organisational support to the Governance Compliance Lead.
- Professional clerking services at half termly meetings at 4 Trust schools and for Trust board committee meetings.
Under the direction of the Governance Compliance Lead, the Trust Governance Assistant will:
- Conduct regular audits of school websites, ensuring statutory documents and other local governance information is displayed.
- Assist with the administration of the Trust policy schedule to ensure Trust statutory and non-statutory policies are in place and provide administrative support for the annual update of the schools’ Admissions Policies.
- Give guidance to ensure that the committee works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework and the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation.
- Liaise with the Headteacher of the school and the Chair of the Local Governing Committee regarding the preparation of agendas.
- Take accurate minutes at the meetings, share minutes for approval, and maintain an accurate register of meeting attendance.
- Archive documentation required for compliance purposes using Governor Hub, the trust’s governance platform.
Attendance in person at the committee meetings is essential.
A laptop will be provided and you will need to have access to the internet.
Training will be provided.
