Salary: Leadership Pay Scale Points 19 – L22 (£73,508 – £79,110 per annum)

The Inspiration Trust is looking for an exceptional leader to join our team at a senior level. The successful candidate will be passionate about our vision of ensuring pupils are resilient and independent learners. The successful candidate will be familiar with how to run a highly successful school, and capable of both setting strategy and implementing effectively. They will report to the Secondary Director / Placement Principal as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support the achievement of the Trust / Academy vision and goals. This role is well suited for current Assistant Principals or Vice Principals looking for career development and/or a new challenge.
The main responsibility of the Trust Vice Principal – Pastoral role will be:
- To be the lead officer for Safeguarding at the Academy (Designated Safeguarding Lead)
- To be the lead for equality, diversity and inclusion; ensuring all elements are fully embedded in all activities and policies across the school.
- To work closely with the SLT to effectively deliver and manage good quality pastoral support programmes that develop pupils’ excellent social and communication skills and support raising achievement.
- To ensure the Academy meets the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status, degree and further relevant professional studies
- Appropriate training for Safer Recruitment and Child Protection (in accordance with current legislation)
- Line management experience overseeing behaviour/pastoral, attendance, and SEND teams that led to positive outcomes.
- A track record of raising standards, linked to pupils’ behaviour
- The statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection.
