Trusts and Foundations Manager

With mental health in the spotlight, this is a key time for us to make a significant impact on young people’s mental health and expand our audience of young people, adults, and professionals. As our organisation and reach grows, we are now looking for a Trust and Foundations Manager to join our brilliant team.

As Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a talented team of trust and grants fundraisers. The focus of the role is twofold: to inspire and support the team to reach their potential, and to lead on the generation of income from a range of sources with a principal focus on large grant-making trusts, statutory funding, bids, contracts and tenders.

You don’t need to have a fundraising background; you’ll have a strategic outlook, be able to turn ideas into action and love to develop those around you.

This role will build on the success already achieved by the team and manage a team of fundraisers applying to prospective funders and account managing existing funders. This role is vital in implementing our five-year vision to create a step change in our fundraising.

Moving from a funder-led approach to engaging all supporters as part of our movement, where effective fundraising builds relationships and becomes an essential part of achieving our charitable objectives, not just funding them.

The successful candidate will ideally:

• have experience of personally creating bespoke bids/approaches/tenders to new funders/clients that generated significant income
• have experience of leading and developing a team to successfully account manage significant funding partners/clients including the delivery of meetings, monitoring and budgets
• be able to develop and maintain relationships with a range of audiences including internal and external stakeholders
• be able develop staff members at all levels
• have an ability to build knowledge and understanding of the compliance and best practice requirements of your role and sector
• have an awareness and understanding of AJEDI (Anti-racism, Justice, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion)
