Job description

This exciting new role will lead, develop, implement, and continually evaluate the trust and grant making strategy at Rotherham Hospice to maximise income from both regular and new Trusts and Foundations.

As our new Trusts & Foundations Manager, you will ensure that Trust income plays a substantial role in supporting the functions and financial needs of the charity, working in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure all opportunities are realised.

You will ensure the effective use of data and resources to optimise application opportunities and raise Rotherham Hospice’s profile amongst funders. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • As our new Trusts & Foundations Manager, you will ensure that Trust income plays a substantial role in supporting the functions and financial needs of the charity, working in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure all opportunities are realised.
  • You will ensure the effective use of data and resources to optimise application opportunities and raise Rotherham Hospice’s profile amongst funders.
  • To develop and manage the Trusts annual budget and produce accurate reports, analysing performance against agreed KPIs, producing quarterly forecasting as required.
  • To research relevant Trusts and Grant making bodies, preparing, and writing applications.
  • To monitor and manage the existing Trust pipeline, recording all Trust fundraising activity on Donorflex.
  • To further develop compelling funding proposals working closely with relevant colleagues across the charity in conjunction with the relevant team / functional manager.
  • Forge close working relationships with the Fundraising Team and other departments to ensure that Trust fundraising is an integrated income stream that contributes to the department’s overall strategy.
  • To build relationships with new Trusts and Grant making bodies.
  • To prepare all relevant reports / updates required by Trusts and Grant making bodies.
  • To network externally to ensure that Trusts and Grant making bodies are kept aware of the funding requirements of Rotherham Hospice.
  • To represent the charity at cheque presentations and other public events as necessary.
  • Liaise closely with the Communications Team on all relevant stories that can be utilised to enhance both fundraising and public awareness of grant giving.
  • To be responsible for the co-ordination of own administration and correspondence utilising office administration support and volunteers as appropriate.
  • To take part in strategy and planning meetings alongside other members of the Fundraising Team, in relation to the overall departmental and income generation planning, and input into forecasting planning.
  • To work with other Fundraising team members on special fundraising projects which span the regional area as required.
