Aquilas is delighted to be recruiting a Trusts & Foundations Manager for Home-Start UK to join their growing Trust & Philanthropy team. Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.
Location: Remote with flexible working offered
Salary: £34,855 per annum
About the charity
Last year Home-Start supported 56,000 children in 27,000 families, in communities across the UK. Families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home supporting them in the ways they need.
About the role
Home-Start UK is looking for an experienced trust fundraiser to help raise funds for our work with parents and children across the UK. You will have solid experience of writing and submitting large grant applications and building relationships with senior stakeholders. We have an established pipeline of mixed funders including large family foundations alongside other trusts.
Home-Start UK has a wide portfolio of grant funders, who support our work with grants and donations of around £2m each year. This income funds brilliant projects right across the Home-Start movement, from groups for army families, to volunteer perinatal mental health training, to large-scale initiatives to increase volunteer numbers. Our Trusts and Statutory Income team is central to the delivery and development of great support for families, and for ensuring Home-Start UK has the capacity it needs to deliver high quality services and support to our network. No two days here are the same, and we work closely with colleagues right across the organisation.
About you
Candidates will need to have a working knowledge of the Trusts & Foundations sector at national level, have stewarded some large grants & funders and can present at funder meetings and manage reports & schedules for large grants as well as submissions. Research to develop and increase our pool of Trusts will also be required.
Closing date for applications: 5pm, Sunday 25th February 2024
