Job description

Are you passionate about improving adult skills?

The demands of the modern UK workplace and the current economic crisis mean that adult learning is increasingly crucial for people of all ages regardless of their level of skills and qualifications.

Did you know.....

  • one in five adults lack functional English or maths;
  • longer working lives and frequent career changes mean regular upskilling is a necessity;
  • rapid developments in technology require us all to keep acquiring new knowledge;
  • automation means reskilling and redeployment are the only options for many.

Northern College, the only adult residential college in Yorkshire, is in a unique position to be able to offer the essential skills adults need and employers want. Our campus is open 24/7 so we can offer flexible and accessible modes of delivery - evenings, weekends, blended and residential - to meet the needs of the local, regional and national economy.

Our mission is to inspire positive change through adult education, and working closely with our community, voluntary and employer partners we will provide outstanding teaching and learning on our campus based in the grade 1 listed Wentworth Castle and surrounded by 500 acres of National Trust gardens and parkland.
