Tutor - Intervention Specialist - SEMH School
Are you an Instructor, HLTA, Tutor or Intervention Specialist looking for a new opportunity supporting children with SEMH needs. This excellent alternative provision is looking for an Intervention Specialist / Tutor to provide academic support for Key Stage 3 & 4 students who are currently working at Key Stage 2 / 3 levels.
This role requires an instructor or HLTA who has previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs and is comfortable managing challenging behaviours. You will be joining an excellent team at an award-winning alternative provision, where every child is given a second chance.
Job Role:
  • Delivering intervention session to students who have struggled to engage in education, focusing on core subjects and wellbeing
  • Tailoring lessons to suit needs and abilities of individual students
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed
  • Supporting children with anxiety and SEMH needs with their studies
  • Delivering tuition to small groups and on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Planning sessions based on the needs and abilities of students
