UHI Inverness has locations at Inverness Campus and also the Scottish School of Forestry (Balloch), a growing hub for research, innovation and enterprise set within a 215 acre site. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work as a part time STEAM Officer (Primary) based at UHI Inverness and working collaboratively with UHI and all UHI Partners. The post holder joins our UHI Inverness STEAM Coordinator (Outreach) along with other coordinators across the UHI region as part of a 3-year STEAM Development Outreach Programme. This post will be based in UHI Inverness and will focus on Primary School engagements (specifically lend-a-labs). The post is jointly managed within UHI Inverness and with the UHI wide STEAM Development Manager to ensure the regional/local STEAM coordination across wider STEAM network. Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in STEAM or a related discipline. They will have experience working in STEAM engagement or science communication delivery in schools or equivalent context, and experience of organising and delivering STEAM engagement and community events, meeting agreed targets and timescales. Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG scheme membership prior to commencing employment.
