Job description

The UK Head of HR will lead the Human Resources department, driving strategic HR initiatives based out of of our client HQ in Lancashire. This vital role will oversee all HR operations and ensure they align with our current and future business objectives.

Description

  • Lead and develop a large HR team, comprising HR, L&D, Payroll and systems
  • Implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with the business objectives.
  • Oversee HR operations including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and legal compliance.
  • Foster a positive work environment, ensuring employee welfare and open communication channels.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Manage the performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Overseeing organisational design and rightsizing in a post change environment.
  • Ensuring that organisational structures are modelled to optimise operational excellence.

Profile

A successful 'UK Head of HR' should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the Human Resources department.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Excellent change management experience.
