And that’s why we are looking for a UK Market Development Intern! As a Market Development Intern, you will provide support in planning, coordinating and executing on projects and campaigns. In this role, you will work directly with the UK market lead and other stakeholders in the company, as well as our customers. In addition to this, you will also contribute to the daily / weekly different projects and processes in the team.


FRAMEWORK:

  • Salary: paid internship
  • Location: London-based hybrid model
  • Agreement with University needed

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Help win new business


  • Conduct research on foodservice players and assist in developing targeted outreach strategies to generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Utilize and learn various sales tools (e.g., Saleshandy, Hunter.io, LinkedIn) to build and maintain a lead development pipeline, while also reporting on pipeline activities and forecasting.
  • Support the creation and execution of outbound marketing campaigns, including copywriting and utilizing data analytics to optimize strategies and measure success.
  • Engage in client relationship management by assisting with regular communications, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and improving engagement through refined email campaigns.

Account management

  • Support in managing the day to day requirements of our existing accounts
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing client account data to support ongoing satisfaction and identify areas for improvement, including preparing reports and documentation.
  • Facilitate client communication by managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for presentations and reviews.
  • Support internal coordination by liaising with product, service, and support teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions to gain insights into account management and sales techniques, while providing logistical and administrative support.

Day-to-day support

  • Oversee sample distributions and manage stock levels for sales demos and customer queries, alongside assisting in forecast planning through analysis of customer activity and sales data.
  • Support the creation and coordination of marketing and sales initiatives, such as POS materials, promotions, and localisation of campaigns, to enhance market presence and customer engagement.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, business planning, and the improvement of sales and budget tracking tools, while also engaging in market research for business growth opportunities.
  • Assist in organizing and executing trade shows and sales events, and support digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and website updates, to boost brand visibility and lead generation.

  • B.Sc. Economics, Business Administration, International Business or similar. Possibility of doing an agreement with your current University.

  • Microsoft Office / Google Worksuite, especially Excel / Sheets and Powerpoint / Slides

  • Curious and open-minded to broaden all the current data with market research and category best practices.

  • Not afraid of expressing your opinions

  • Hard working and willing to roll up their sleeves in a scrappy startup environment

  • Reliable, data driven and organised

  • Personable, able to build rapport

  • An analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving mindset to approach everyday challenges.

  • Ability to prioritize and anticipate opportunities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English (mandatory).

  • Ability to create strong and trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
