Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a UK Sales Director to lead our Sales team in the adoption of sales best practices and application of sales process standardisation across the regional sales teams.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will provide sales leadership, support and performance management rigour and disciplines to regional sales teams in order to achieve agreed profitable revenue growth goals.
Contribute to wider sales & marketing strategy to deliver a cohesive and co-ordinated plan to maximise sales opportunities and profitable revenue growth.

Responsibilities include: 
•    Lead by example to promote a Sales Excellence culture and ensuring NWP’s agreed systems, tools and processes are fully embedded and utilised across the entire regional sales team.  Define standard territory definitions and KPIs.
•    Work with Marketing and the Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to focus regional sales activity on target sectors, geographies, campaigns, assets, etc in order to optimise sales and revenue growth.
•    Work closing with the Sales & Marketing Leadership team to mobilise strategic account and national business development plans across a regionally matrixed sales organisation in order to maximise revenue pull-through.
•    Identify how NWP can optimise its sales resources to maximise revenue and determine critical success factors to deliver sales growth in the regional sales arena and work with other areas of the business to deliver plans on a timely basis.
•    Prepare KPI's in line with business objectives.  Work with RSMs to instill a consistent and thorough performance review framework.  Monitor performance and create corrective action plans as required.
•    Support recruitment, development and motivation and appropriately incentivise team performance and deal with under-performance accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have/be: 
•    Proven sales leadership and performance management capability.
•    Demonstrable knowledge of professional sales process and methodologies.  Rigorous and disciplined in their application.
•    Collaborative in approach to deliver results.
•    Highly effective communicator coupled with experience of influencing a matrix management team to implement a sales strategy across a regionally diverse team.
•    Strong work ethic in order to stay on top of a high volume, fast paced, portfolio of demands and responsibilities.
