CLAAS UK Technical Specialist - Digital Solutions & Tractors Saxham Based, Bury St Edmunds

Job Role

The successful candidate will be required to work as an integrated member of our technical services team based at Saxham. Your main responsibility will be to provide technical support for our range of Digital Solutions and Tractors throughout the UK and Ireland. Candidates are expected to have practical experience with the maintenance, diagnostics and repair of modern agricultural or plant machinery although additional manufacturer specific training will be provided. You will have access to our modern on-site training facilities and customer experience centre for driving and testing purposes. This role will require some travelling for customer or dealer visits as well as overseas training and meetings.

 Main Duties

• To provide day to day technical support to our Field Service team and Dealer Technicians. This will not only include our Digital Solutions such as GPS steering systems, ISOBUS and machine connectivity but also our range of tractors to support our Tractor Technical Manager in line with seasonal demand.
• Support with the publication and management of Dealer Service Information and Special Inspections.
• Liaise with the factory based Technical Support Centres to raise topics from the field and provide feedback as required.
• Assist with testing of new software and systems to ensure that they meet customer expectations prior to rollout.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Experience in the operation, maintenance, repair and diagnostics of modern agricultural machinery equipped with connectivity, GPS steering systems and ISOBUS
• Good problem-solving ability under pressure
• A strong enthusiasm to achieve customer satisfaction
• A self-motivated and a driven work ethic
• A valid, current UK Driving licence
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Good IT proficiency and literacy skills

Hours of Work

According to the business requirements (Minimum 37.5 hours per week).

This role does not attract an overtime rate.
