The Department of Economics is looking to appoint an experienced administrator to support the smooth delivery of the undergraduate teaching programmes within the Department in order to deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience for undergraduate students.
The Undergraduate Office is a busy, thriving area with a large student cohort and lots of both face-to-face and online contact with students and staff. Dealing with module registration, timetabling, assessments, feedback, examinations, mitigating circumstances and other student queries, your workload will be busy, varied and interesting. You will also be expected to support and participate in student events, such as open days, student enrolment, and graduation.
You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, with relevant experience in a student administration role in the higher education sector. You will be an organised person with a high level of IT literacy and with the ability to prioritise a varied workload whilst working both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to build and manage effective relationships, with both staff and students, are critical for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to build upon their knowledge of higher education administration in a successful, collegial and supportive academic department.
