Your New Job Title: Utility Billing Manager

About this role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Utility Billing Manager to join our Fexco Property Services brand based within our Head Office in the City Centre of Salisbury. As part of the Client Accounting teams, your role will be to manage the full billing processes and controls for multiple properties under our management, and to meet our clients (both internal and external) expectations.
Some responsibilities and goals you’ll own:
Oversee the issuing of Utility Billing on behalf of our Clients- Reconciliation of Utility Billing to ensure all costs recovered
- Produce year end accounts where required
- Oversee management of cashflow to ensure suppliers can be paid
- Lead a team of Accounts Administrators
- Manage, mentor and motivate the team to produce required results
- Set out and provide training and development to the team
- Set appropriate controls and checks to safeguard transactions and ensure a high level of accuracy
- Review tasks and processes for improvements in efficiency and accuracy
- Assisting with queries from the Property Managers and Clients related to any billing
- Ensure all billing is carried out in line with current legislation, regulations and best practice
- Issue out communication to Clients and Customers where required
- Dealing and solving both internal and external queries by e-mail, video call, telephone and where required, in-person
- Create meaningful SLA’s and KPI’s, and drive team performance to meet agreed SLA’s and KPI’s
- Identify appropriate fees outside of the standard management agreement for carrying out the administration of the billing
- Provide regular reporting to the Group on work productions progress, and business and team performance
Must have skills:
- At least 5 years experience within finance
- Previous billing experience
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of high-volume data management, transactions and controls therein
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A confident and assured telephone manner
- Highly analytical
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
- An effective team leader and wider team player
- Motivated and target driven
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Capable of working under pressure during busy periods
Desirable:
- Relevant service charge experience
- Relevant energy or Utility Billing experience
- Previous experience working with external Clients
- Experience of using QUBE system
- Fully or part qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA, or QBE
